Who are W.P.R?
A brief history
Wiltshire Phenomena Research was founded by Hayley Stevens & Sharon Stevens in early October 2005 after a long standing curiosity about paranormal phenomena.
The team in it's earliest existence was a great contrast to the team of today in it's methods, outlook, goal and members. As time has passed W.P.R has matured into one of the most respected teams in Wiltshire.
Paranormal research
On the occasions that Wiltshire Phenomena Research enter a location that is reputed to be haunted to conduct an investigation, the gadgets and spiritual techniques associated with the field of paranormal research are replaced with skepticism, common sense and rational thought.
WPR work by the notion that ‘Anything is possible, some things are just less probable.” This helps to keep an open mind at all times and ensures that no stone is left unturned. WPR founder, Hayley, is known for her outspoken and skeptical views when it comes to her research, and under her direction WPR bring a unique approach to the paranormal research field.
Paranormal research has many stigmas attached to it due to bad press, bad publicity and misrepresentation from the less rational people in the field. However, WPR aim to steer away from the stereotpyes placed upon anyone involved with paranormal research. WPR aim to:
- Offer a rational resource for members of the public to use when researching paranormal phenomena.
- Offer advice on a non-professional level to anyone who thinks they may have had a paranormal experience.
- Promote rational thinking amongst people who are interested in learning more about paranormal phenomena and research into the subject.
- Offer a peer-review service to other research organisations should they wish to use it.
- Test strange ideas that are offered as FACT and associated with the paranormal and research into such phenomena.
- Enter locations to conduct research into the possible logical causes of what has been witnessed only when we deem it to be the suitable action needed for that particular case.
